SEEED College • SUSTAINABLE EDUCATION

SEEED College integrates several disciplines including biology, ecology, geography, agriculture, architecture, technology, gardening and community building – and everybody learns a little about each others ecology – understanding builds bridges and relationships.

That may sound daunting, but grasping the “holistic big picture” adds another perspective opening access to new thinking – and students gravitate towards their best solution – and then into groups – into projects.

An important aspect of inclusion is “people are people”, we share much in common.

Music and food are universally shared across all cultures and live music atmosphere with wholesome traditional cooking is an invitation to inclusiveness – as well as cater for the very latest raw vegan and organic produce delivered fresh daily from our Permaculture gardens.

SEEED College Campus will be located on land capable of growing crops (small scale) while accessible to the nearest city.

SEEED A SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS COMMUNITY MODEL

SEEED College will be both a sustainable community and business model, from “seed to sale”. We must adhere to the value system of trade and commerce - but we also adopt a new way of life - to support the development of individuals who are empowered, aware, loving, caring, responsible, creative, visionary, knowledgeable, competent, relational, wise, & with a zest for life.

PROJECTS
Projects on campus include Permaculture, the growing and harvesting of crops, milling and weaving, building eco homes, harvesting water, all aspects of water, applying renewable energy practices, music and food concerts and the marketing and sale of products under the flag of sustainability – thereby fulfilling a complete cycle from “seed to sale” – a sustainable business community model.

EDUCATION FOR GIRLS AND WOMENAt SEEED College our focus is to make Sustainable Education available to a wide age range with emphasis on equality for girls and women having as equal access to education as boys and men, and always in close cooperation with family.

SUSTAINABILITY
At SEEED College, ours is a sustainable community with sustainable solutions incorporated throughout. Students will learn to service renewable energy systems, develop sustainable practices and products and build a sustainable SEEED Home-farm.

WORK
At SEEED College we can provide work experience, training, employment and on-the-job training in soil farming, harvesting, processing, marketing and selling within a sustainable model community.

HOUSING
A qualified certificate in Sustainable SEEED Home-farms equips the student with knowledge, experience and skill-set that can provide unparallelled opportunity for self-employment and entrepreneurship working in the sustainable housing future market. A win for students and a win for housing.

HEALTH
At SEEED College health is always at focus. We grow organic fruits and vegetables and develop healthy cheap alternatives to fast food. Packaged and marketed appropriately, they can be sold in IP Cafe outlets raising community awareness that good health starts with good food. Health policy will be conducted in association with the local Health Board.

SEEED HOME-FARMS CAN HELP MITIGATE CLIMATE CHANGE
We are hoping SEEED Home-farm can serve as a cost effective sustainable housing solution for thousands or more migrants and asylum seeker families, but in reality the spaces, the acres of land available must be adhered to. It’s important to note that EACH SEEED Home-farm is sequestering CO2 – which makes them carbon sinks. The more farms the more carbon sequestration.

SEEED

SEEED College Campus has entertainment facilities in keeping with customs. Traditional live music and delicious foods are open to the public providing inclusive community awareness and purpose.

BUILDING SEEED

Investment is needed to create an inclusive environment with openness and understanding of peoples needs. Working together and as a result, migrants will be included as productive members of society, with the bonus outcome of creating a flagship sustainable working and living community.

BUILDING SEEED COLLEGE

SEEED College will have 5 main areas:
1). A campus area with classroom facilities and amenities for students.
2). An outer accommodation area for migrant workers to live.
3). An area for growing crops.
4). A processing and manufacturing area.5). A social music and food entertainment area.

With stages:
1). College and facilities.
2). IP Cafe.
3). Crops.

A SEEED Home-farm can serve as a cost effective sustainable housing for millions of migrants and asylum seekers. It requires the release of land to suit the building of sustainable autarkic communities. A SEEED Home-farm installation is a planet cooler and sequesters CO2.
